Awsome Auger got me, too..... no extension and no pin to connect it; also have tried calling them at all hours for 10 days and only get the message to call back later - I will wrap it and try to send the two pieces I did get back - and eat the shipping, I guess..... don't order from them if you read this.....

I read and re-read the ad thoroughly before ordering. It said nothing about additional shipping charges to obtain the "free extender, weed auger, and power drill. I finally got a response to my e-mail (customer serv. by phone was never available). They said the items were indeed free, but the additional shipping for the weed auger/extender was $7.95; for the corded drill was $19.95 and the cordless drill was $39.95. The ad never mentioned anything additional. It appeared to be a complete package. This is a real scam in advertising. I will keep the 3" and 4" auger, because the shipping to return isn't worth it. I wish I had found this site first. Live and learn.

  • Diana Kaye from AZ writes about The Auger:

I saw the informercial last year and tried to order the auger but the page wouldn't open, I only saw the informercial once and didn't get the phone number. I just tried again today to order it and found tons of complaints. After reading the complaints (49 not including the ones on this page) I was glad I didn't get to place my order last year. I found the name and email address of the President & COO of Thill Logistics. His name is R. Todd Hill at [] Danielle Farrell's direct phone # is: 920-236-7100, ext 5797 (From the informercial scam web site)

The ad constitutes false advertising. I did not receive the weed auger, the extender bar, or the free drill. Now every time I call a service representative I either get a message to call again later or if it rings to the service department, it just cancels. The augers are satisfactory but backbreaking without the extender bar. I have notified the Better Business Bureau and they say they are lookiing into it. Mine is not their first complaint.

T.V. commercial said that we would receive the Awesome Auger and at least the extension piece that goes between the Auger and the drill, but NO EXTENSION PIECE! - Just the short auger for $19.95!!! - AND - the misleading T.V. commercial seemed to indicate that we would be receiving a "FREE" included battery operated electric drill, but no such lick! - If I knew what I was going to be receiving I likely would NOT have ordered! - NO DRILL and NO EXTENSION! - You have to kneel to use the short augers without the extension. - I WANT TO RETURN BOTH OF THEM THAT I ORDERED!!! - Item mis-represented in T.V. ad's, but at least is heavy metal construction and should last for normal use either in ground or mixing paint, etc. - I want to retun them but I am not willing to "eat" the $17.90 9for 2 of them), shipment charge for mis-represented items! - What can I do?-

  • peggy from ny writes about one touch can opener:

I've had this can opener for seven months, it hasn't worked right since I bought it! Have to keep replacing the batteries. Doesn't open the can the whole way. I called the 800 number & was told to hold down the power button while it's going around the can, it's one touch, I shouldn't have to hold the button down the whole time I'm opening the can,it also makes a loud grinding noise like there are loose parts inside. Then I was told to take it back to where I bought it. Thanks for nothing! You should have zero star to check!
